The Oakville Santa Claus Parade has been bringing cheer to audiences for over 70 years.
Each year brings joy by providing members of the community a chance to come together and participate, or watch, the parade.
The first parade was organized in 1948 by Bill Hughes, then President of the Junior Chamber of Commerce. The idea originated to encourage business in Downtown Oakville.
